MDCC has won the Deaf Sports Australia's Orgainisation of the Year Award which was announced at the Presentation Night during the Australian Deaf Games Closing Ceremony at Dreamworld in the Gold Coast on Thursday 10th January 2008.

The award was presented by DSA's President, Mr. Brent Phillips and was received on behalf of MDCC by Deaf Cricket Australia's Secretary, Mr. John Webb.
